U.S. Navy Saronic Corsair & Rescued Apache Pilots

3D-WILD announced a very rare 1/35 scale model kit based on a real-life rescue story—the U.S. Navy Saronic Corsair Autonomous Surface Vessel, featuring the vessel itself and two highly detailed U.S. Army pilots!

A Saronic Corsair unmanned surface vessel rescued two U.S. Army Apache helicopter pilots from the Gulf of Oman, near the Strait of Hormuz, in early June 2026.

This event marked the first known instance in which the U.S. military successfully used an uncrewed surface vessel (USV) to conduct a personnel rescue at sea.
