Mr Black released a new book about techniques on modelling female miniatures as the first issue of How to Guide series.

Figure painters usually prefer painting military, historical and fantasy figures. Female figures are always secondary probably due to lack of knowledge or experience.

In this book, Greek master painter Christos Katselos shares his techniques on modelling female figures and busts.

A4 format with a matt laminated cover and 68 pages.

Artist used Vallejo Acyrlic Paints and gives the color codes of paints and also his recipes.

As in all modelling books, the first chapter is the introduction part where the artist briefly explains his basics and tells about the materials and tools he uses.

Preparing and Assembling a Resin Miniature

Second chapter is about how to assembly a female figure and make it ready for painting. Christos shares his process on Life Miniatures 75 mm figure Bad Blood 2 for cleaning, pinning, assemblying and making the figure base in 43 step by step photos.

Conclusion

This is another great book with well detailed and useful articles. Photos are clear for details, well organized and texts are explanative. It will give motivation and great knowledge to whom thinks to paint female figures. I wish more 1/35 or 54 mm figure articles will be added on the next volumes.
