Hello everyone! In this short step-by-step article I want to show you my latest model of Panther F.

Building stage

Building stage

In this project I used Rye Field Model Panther F kit with it's own Upgrade solution kit. I just added Masterclub tracks instead of standart plastic tracks, cause I think it gives the model more realistic look.

I also added armour texture with Tamiya grey putty and welds with Tamiya epoxy ones.

All the photo-etching parts were assembled with soldering.

Painting stage

At this stage I sprayed a whole model with Mr. Surfacer Mahogany. After that I applied 3 tone camo with AK real colors with a bit mottle effect to highlight the panels.

All the welds were sprayed with Grime Ammo shader, and after that I applied Dark Brown wash from AK.

To finish this stage I applied oil dot technique.

Chipping stage

Chipping stage

At first I added chipped effects with slightly lighter color than base color of the camo. I added a bit white in Dunkelgelb. After that the second color of the chipping was applied. I prefer dark brown color mixed with two Vallejo paints.

For rust tones I used AK rust deposits blended with brush around every chipped area. I tried to achieve a good rust result on the additional armour panels with Vallejo Dark and Medium Rust colors with AK deposits. But I was disappointed with the result.

So I decided to repaint all the armour panels with darker colours using chipping fluid. I also added two oil colors as a filter. Burnt Umber and Burnt Sienna.

I added a blanket on the commanders cupola to set Evolution Miniatures figure in place. At this stage I also painted all the instruments with Vallejo and Pacific88 acrylics trying to replicate wood texture.

To complete the model I add a mud texture with Mr. Weathering paste. Painted it with enamel mud tones. I also added rain mark effects on the hull, some splashes and wet mud on the tracks and wheels. Tracks were gently polished with a pencil.

Enjoy watching! I also have to notice that I shot a whole video series about building, painting and weathering this model. You can watch this video following the link in my profile. I will post here some of them some time later.
