This is a set from T-Rex Studios suitable for either the Königstiger or Jagdtiger, of any brand. It has Brackets of Side Skirt and Spare Track for these tanks. The parts are enough for a vehicle, with no spares.
As all products from T-Rex, they have been 3D designed and printed and come on a rigid plastic box, padded with foam inside.The parts look fine, with no imperfections or printing traces, and having an excellent detail. The bolts have the correct hex head despite its tiny size.
There are six types of parts:
- Spare tracks hooks
- Spare tracks lower rest
- Mudguard large bracket with bolts
- Mudguard large bracket without bolts
- Mudguard small bracket with bolts
- Mudguard small bracket without bolts
These last four allow to show the vehicle without mudguards and showing the brackets either with or without the bolts.
The use is pretty straightforward, cut from the base and glue on the model. No need to assemble or fold any part.
Due to the resin used, which is somewhat soft, removing the parts is easier using a single edge nipped than a blade. With a blade, I would recommend cutting the tree far from the part and then clean up with the part tightly secured.
This type of resin simplifies manipulation, making it less prone to break or detach than traditional rigid resin or photoetch.
In summary, this a nice set that adds extra detail to the Jagdtiger or KönigsTiger when leaving the mudguards and spare tracks off.
