'WW2 Vehicles Through the Lens' is a new series of photographic albums presenting military and civilian vehicles used by the military during World War Two. Each book will have six-eight parts, each dealing with a different subject featuring mostly previously unpublished photographs. 124 pages that are 210x295mm, and 800g. If you need to know the weight of it.

Contents of Volume 4:

Panzerkampfwagen II (Sd.Kfz.121)

Panzerkampfwagen III Ausf.J (Sd.Kfz.141)

Panzerjäger III/IV für 8.8 cm Pak 43/1 (Sd.Kfz.164) “Hornisse/Nashorn”

15 cm Panzerwerfer 42 Sd.Kfz.4/1 and a couple of images the munitions tractor, too.

Sd.Kfz.251 mittlerer Schützenpanzerwagen

38M Toldi I/II (A20)

There is very little by way of reading to be done, the text is all supporting the images, and the images are what the book is about. Each is clearly selected for subject and clarity and nearly fills the page; there are a few examples of multiple images of the same vehicle, which is helpful to modelers, as well as multiple images of the same unit in theatre, and a variety of images from most fronts of the war. All the images, save a couple, are new to me, with good explanations as to what you're looking at.

The caption to an image explains points of interest or unique features of the vehicle shown, most helpful. Unit, location, and approximate time of manufacture is given where known of the vehicle; the author has an eye for detail and accuracy, which I appreciate.

It is an easy read, about one whiskey or two coffees worth, but one I'll be referencing as I build through the stash of kits of vehicles found here. Easily recommended and a good one to have if you're looking for solid reference material on the subject vehicles.

The sample images are some randoms, but you get the idea...
