PRIPYAT

The following text accompanied the original submission:

" I have never been particularly good at following up once I finish a diorama by photographing and submitting for a photo feature. That said, I have some older dioramas whose photos have appeared in the forums and in several show articles but have never formally been submitted as photo features. I trust no one who have seen these will be too bored and to those that haven't seen them, I hope you will enjoy them. 

I completed this in 2008 titled "Pripyat". This diorama depicts one of the many vehicles abandoned in the countryside around the city of Pripyat in Soviet Ukraine after the Chernobyl incident contaminated them with radiation. This is a war surplus ZIS-151 pressed into duty being used as a utility truck for the city. The model is Zvezda's ZIS-151 in 1:35 scale. The truck bed is scratch built."

I hope no one thinks me too presumptuous to be reposting this older submission. I wanted to slowly move my old submissions to the new site as the old site, even though it's archived, is really just a grave site for all the old entries.  Unless it is against the site rules I will slowly try to move my past submissions to the new site. Hopefully many of you have never seen these or at least haven't seen them in years. I hope you will enjoy them either for the first time or for the first time in a long time!
