Review
Few announcements have caused as much interest recently as MiniArt’s pipeline set, and now that model is available. The model arrives in one of MiniArt’s end opening cartons and I really wish that a stronger box design came into regular use. Inside is a single plastic bag, with 4 identical sprues within. Each sprue provides 4 pipe lengths measuring 20mm, 30mm, 50mm and 120mm. These can obviously be cut into any desired length or mated to create a longer length. 17 bolted flanges are present with good detail, and so extended lengths of pipe could be shown as joined or having been an original length. 4 x 90 degree angles are provided, you get 2 bulged 3 way connectors and 2 flat 3 way connectors. Also present are 2 end caps, and 2 end plates with a hole in the centre for which 3 turn handle valves are included. There are also 2 parts that look like factory fire extinguisher heads, but these are shown to be used between the wheel and the valve and so I am not completely sure what these represent.
Conclusion
I have to say, that having got my hands on this release. I can understand why it caused a stir, as for an industrial setting this set is a must, and I would not be too surprised to see it showing up in builds very soon.
