Leopard 2a5 from Ukraine

In my painting and weathering exercises, I finally got to one of the last representatives of German tank building. Here I tried for the first time to make three-color camouflage with an airbrush.

Initially I wanted to make a copy that wasn’t too dirty... but I still got carried away and added dirt... after all, almost all the samples that I saw from this theater of operations are not clean... During the painting process, already at the finishing stage... after shading the oils I applied decals...and only after that I noticed that some kind of brown coating appeared on some planes...in some places it could have been passed off as the effect of dust...but in some places it was clearly inappropriate and unnatural...No I know why...either from bad white spirit, or from something else...I still didn’t understand the nature of its origin...Attempts to remove it led to even worse results, so I decided to completely repaint it again.

At the same time, the decals for the Bundeswehr also disappeared into oblivion. Therefore, I decided to make the most simple weapons from the Ukrainian theater of operations.

The set itself is quite simple, not replete with excessive detail. I corrected his mistakes - the hatches of the commander and loader (gunner?) were mixed up in the diagram. At the same time, it was impossible to install the second hatch correctly when closed. Made it open.

I replaced all the handles of the spare parts boxes and hatches with pieces of string, and made the antennas on the tower and on the rear view camera from it.

I added a rolled up piece of tarpaulin to the basket at the back using a glove and a paper rag with PVA glue.

    Painting - Tamiya NATO Black/green/brown/

Pigments and liquids from ZIP Maket.
