This release from HobbyBoss of a Jagdpanzer III/IV (long E) in 1/35th scale is as I understand it the tri-star model offering with some new parts. The mouldings of the model throughout are generally good, with some flow lines being the only issue I really picked up, but these have not caused damage to the finish of the parts. Anyone who remembers the Tri-star kit or for that matter the quality of their releases generally will not be disappointed. As you get a fair to good quality model straight from the box. The cast texture where present is very nice being subtle while still obvious. The tracks may not please everyone as they are individual moulded links and still show Tri-star on the sprue. However, quality is good with no obvious remedial work required on them beyond cleaning up the gates after removal. The photo etch is  minimal in quantity, but does cover what I would class as the essentials, namely the mesh over the intakes. I was also pleased to find clear periscopes in the offering. My disappointment with the release came right at the end, with only a generic finishing options provided.
