Trumpeters Freccia IFV mainly built out of the box.

Freccia IFV

Freccia IFV from Trumpeter. Not a cat this time but an arrow. This model was released 10 years ago in resin from Royal Models at almost four times the price. The kit contains a lot of pe so there is not much left for the aftermarket. The only aftermarket item available are resin tires from Royal Model. There are unfortunately no walk around sites of the vehicle on the net. However, what can be detected from the photos on the net is that the anti-slip texture is missing. Vantage Modelling Solution (VMS) was used to replicate this. In general the fitting is good but pe part B1 needed some milliput to fill the gaps. Pe part A22 needs to be sanded down a bit to be aligned with the hull. The bolt on the lower part of the front hull lacks sharpness and pe part B4 is hard to fit. The solution is to cut away the bolts, glue pe B4 in place and replace the bolts with part A52, which are in abundance. The instructions are a bit  unclear concerning the winch, but the pictures published on Armorama

is of good help . All periscopes are reproduced in clear plastic except for the driver's periscopes that are missing but easy to fix with a piece of clear plastic sheet and a permann marking pen. The mesh over the engine was added from the spare box for sharper detail. The vehicle was painted using Tamiya colours, weathered with AK products and oil paints.
