A 2S7M Malka from Trumpete,r built almost out of the box

2S7M Malka

Apart from the kit,  there is a photo etch  set from Voyager Model and tracks from Fruilmodel, and the addition of cables made of copper wire that Trumpeter for some strange reason have omitted. 

Painted with Tamiya colors and weathered with AK and Mig products.

Both versions of the 2S7 Pion and Malka are produced by Trumpeter. Malka is an upgraded version with improvements such as better fire control system and named 2S7M. Externally the differences between the two versions are not so obvious.  The greatest difference appears to be the air vents behind the drivers compartment, and here is when the confusion starts. The Pion version from Trumpeter has two separate air vents while the Malka version has one.  However, this is reversed on the photoetch from Microdesign

The usual problem is that they are museum vehicles so there are parts missing. There are also differences between the vehicles which can be due to alterations in the production line and that the vehicles were produced by different factories.
