Through the lens 5 World War 2 Vehicles (TTL5)

Here we take a look at the latest offering from Peko Publishing Through the lens 5 World War 2 Vehicles (TTL5)

Review

Through the lens 5 is a hardback book from Peko Publishing. The author of this release is Tom Cockle who is a well known and respected author covering subjects from World War 2, and in the case of this title his role has been to provided informative captions to the period photographs. The contents of this title are presented over 5 parts which are:

Part 1  -  Steyr Raupenschlepper Ost (RSO)

Part 2  -  Austria 1945

Part 3  -  Saurer RK-7 (Sd.Kfz.254)

Part 4  -  Sturmgeschutz-Abteilung 203

Part 5  -  M10 in French service

All of the images in this title are provided in a decent size are black and white, but unfortunately a number of the images are out of focus and so clarity suffers in some cases. With that said, Tom Cockle seems to have done a very good job of providing a decent amount of information on each of the photographs regardless of the clarity of each of the photographs. The photographs cover vehicles that are fully functional to complete write offs. Due to the images being those taken by soldiers rather than propaganda photographs and so their value is much increased in my humble opinion as regards what they provide in turns of visual information and again Tom Cockle’s contribution make this another nice addition to the range. Also with this title covering subjects are not the most common, continues to promote the value of this series and title.
