This release from ICM in 1/24th scale pairs up with one of ICMs figures sets and a large scale car. The result is a nicely detailed set of 3 figures with a car that is a Ford Model T. This model was originally released in 2024, and so can be considered a new kit due to the limited time that has passed.
Typically ICM has used the multi part chassis, which is a bit of a pig on this model as the chassis is not square. Detail generally of the oily parts, including an engine is pleasing and if if was not for the use that it is being put to could be displayed in a number of ways. The wheels are set in a straight forward position and some surgery is also required for minor alterations. External detail that is easily seen, is very pleasing and should take a bullet hole well.
Interior detail is of a very good standard featuring leather bench seats, but I think some wear and tear would improve its visual look. The lights are well set up and a soft top roof is included on this version. I think I would have preferred the hard top.
The figures are 2 men and 1 woman in the process of robbing a bank. The clothing they wear is in my opinion, best suited to the late 20’s up to the 1950s. Clothing detail such as crease seams and joint articulation looks very natural. Hand and face detail is also of a high standard and should meet the needs of the most.
The female figure is shown wearing a dress and wide brimmed hat. The skirt of the dress has been molded to fit around the full length leg detail. This allows great undercut detail to be provided. I appreciate that the female form has not been molded so that certain aspects are in the extreme and so again has a natural appearance. The body composition for the male and female figures is slim for the female and what I would class as muscular for the males, which I would class as normal for figures of this period. Included with this release are 2 holdall bags and a cash bag. Weaponry provided are 2 Thompson machine guns with the option of a straight or drum magazine and 2 Colt 45 pistols. If you have the need for figures in this scale in the middle of a robbery, I highly recommend these are considered.
