The Mercedes Type 170 saw a surprising amount of service in a number of roles with the German army during World War 2. The vehicle was said to have gained favour from its robust construction and reliable service in the field. This vehicle being the radio car is suitably decked out in the rear and was excellent in the role according to what I have read.
The model itself is cleanly moulded but does feature a number of those very fine parts that may break easily. One area that caught my attention in this regard is the suspension springs that are compressible and so easily damaged. The vents in the hood of the model are a thing of beauty actually being open. The tyres are plastic rather than rubber which I know will please many modellers here. You will find a decent amount of photo etched parts and many of which are on the small side, so if you are not happy using photo etch it may be worth giving this release consideration with that in mind.
