SOGA Miniatures has new resin figures in their catalogue, all depicting U.S. Army Airborne units from D-Day.

Dear friends, we want to show you our very large and grand release that we dedicated to U.S. Army Airbornes. in D-Days.1944. All figures are made in 1/35 scale.

The sculptor of all the figures is Dmitry Shishkov. Painting by Dmitry Baev.

Unfortunately 80% of our dealers stopped working with us because of the events. Someone has treated us very categorically and is now maliciously removing SOGA Miniatures figures from their website, so our project would disappear from people's minds, someone is waiting for quieter times, to place a bulk order. There are good people who continue our trade in Europe, but they are very few and I'm not sure I can name them now.

We have all the figures in stock and are ready to send them to all customers immediately after payment. This is the only way to get the figures to customers now.

A great deal of material has been collected on the historical part of these figures. The uniforms were based on Ross, R. T. "Parachute Rifle Company. A Living Historian's Introduction to the Organization, Equipment, Tactics and Techniques of the U.S. Army's Elite Airborne Troops in Combat on the Western Front in World War II". The parachute system was based on Guy Richards' book "World War II Troop Type Parachutes. Allies: U.S., Britain, Russia. An Illustrated Study". Of the 3 systems used by the Americans we have chosen the T5 and T5A systems, they differ only in the colour of the straps. Who remembers "Brothers in Arms" series, there 101st Division just with T5 system. I chose T5A for the figures, which is glimpsed more in the pictures of the paratroopers before and during the Normandy landings. The helmets were made from Michel DE TIMREZ's book "American Paratroopers Helmet". For my work I chose the 82nd division just to be able to make a variety of helmet camouflage. Of the imperfections - alas, I ran out of decals American flags on the sleeves and I did not do them. Please don't point this out as a mistake.

When creating dioramas I used excellent photo-etching of young Russian company MiniWarPaint.

There are a total of 14 figures in the series, richly accessorized (with replacement blades, helmets, parachutes, life jackets, backpacks, and gun pods). All of these can be placed on a stand to create interesting dioramas
