Expected in 2027, Painting the German Army 1918–1945 is the result of years of dedicated research by Jens Mühlig, and it stands as the most comprehensive treatment ever published on the colours used on German military equipment, including tanks and other AFVs, from 1918 to 1945.

This is not a quick-reference chart. Across 350 to 400 pages, with hundreds of photographs and supporting artworks, Mühlig traces the development, application and variation of German military colours in a depth that has simply not existed before. For anyone who paints, restores, researches, or simply wants to understand German military equipment correctly, this book will become the standard reference.

Two editions will be available. The standard edition will be available from Panzerwrecks and other outlets. A limited-run Collector’s Edition will also be published, including a RAL colour card, and this will be available exclusively from the Panzerwrecks website. No prices are set yet.
