Diorama items that get used from time to time are always good to have around and a new release from MiniArt titled French Concrete Road Signs 1930s - 1940s North and East in 1.35th scale is just such an offering.

Review

This release from MiniArt arrives in one of their end opening cartons. I am not a fan of this design as it gives little protection to the contents. Inside this offering are 3 sprues provided in multiple numbers that provide a series of different formed concrete signs. These signs would have been poured off-site and taken to where they were needed. It would seem that due to this approach and while a durable material had been used they quite often ended up leaning after installation.  However, as with everything French, some of these posts have a very pleasing shape and form. I was pleased to see that instead of supplying paper signage, decals have been included and I feel these will give the modeller a far more pleasing result. You could also, of course, use the shape of the decals to create your own with different locations of them. This release is one of those go for items when you want to add a personal touch to a model diorama.
