Legendary gunboat Monitor in 1/35 scale from B&L Models

The Monitor was a heavily armored river gunboat class employed by the United States Navy during the Vietnam War, consisting of modified World War II-era LCM-6 landing craft designed for shallow-draft operations on the Mekong Delta's rivers and canals. These vessels formed the core heavy firepower element of the Mobile Riverine Force, a joint Army-Navy unit established in 1967 to conduct amphibious assaults against Viet Cong and North Vietnamese forces in inland waterways, where they suppressed ambushes, provided direct fire support for troop landings, and cleared riverbanks of enemy positions.
