The APM-90 is an airfield searchlight vehicle or landing light beacon station. Developed in the 1950s, it was mounted on the flatbeds of ZIS-150 and ZIL-164 trucks before the ZIL-130 was adopted. It was used to illuminate runways at military airfields at night and was also used by the KGB Border Troops of the USSR. It included a searchlight on a rotating platform, a direction finder, a radio, special lighting, and a second fuel tank.
