Linden: Guardia Civil 1936-1939

New Spanish Civil War figure from Linden Models

Few Spanish uniforms are as instantly recognisable as that of the Guardia Civil — especially its unmistakable three-cornered hat, the tricornio.

When the Spanish Civil War broke out in July 1936, the Guardia Civil found itself divided. Some units remained loyal to the Republic, while others joined the Nationalists. Men wearing the same uniform suddenly found themselves on opposite sides of the conflict.

This new figure captures the classic 1936 appearance of the corps: the distinctive black tricornio, grey-green uniform with red details, yellow leather equipment and long black wool cape.

As always, the figure will be available in three scales: 1/35, 1/32 and 1/16, with a free historical reference and painting guide (PDF)
