Thanks very much for the comments guys.I gotta tell you 11charlie,it`s alot easier than it looks! You don`t have to be a rocket scientist to get the same effect, maybe a little artistic value in the weathering department but that`s it! I put the kit together the same way you do,I paint it the same way, well maybe not there, don`t use airbrushes but I wash and drybrush the same way you do! So it boils down to setting and final weathering which is pastels and pigments. Really if you get a system or routine of doing your models and stick with it you`ll find it getting easier the more kits you do. I have been using my system or routine for over 30yrs now and at 52yrs of age I`m at the point where I`ll be damned if I change what works! Don`t get let down or frustrated with what everyone else is accomplishing plug on,no one gets there overnight. Good luck!

No wonder they used to think we were in competition Russ - every time I post a new model a few days later there's another Russ masterpiece! LMAO :-) I just can't get on with pastels, reckon good old humbrol will do for me. Really like this simplistic approach mate - nice one.

No problems Dave, the next excursion you take to our fair city we`ll dive into the pastel work and figure it out for you,it`ll be fun.

Russ- well done as usual. I can't wait until I get as old as you look so I can go full time building models. Keep up the great work. DJ
