I like it. I'm no Sherman expert... did the Russians get that version of the Sherman? The only thing that jumped out at me was that the soldier on the ground looks to be a bit off balance. Obviously the figure is made to be standing on level ground, but he's on an incline here. Just seems his left knee would be bent more... or put his right foot on something to level him out... a rock, tree trunk, whatever.

The Russians got a whole bunch of that version of the Sherman, probably the most numerous of those delivered. There's a few well-known pics of M4A2-76s in Berlin and Vienna, late war. They also got the same thing with HVSS, but not so many pics of those. As far as I know, the Russians were the only users of the M4A2-76. Nice dio, BTW.

Very nice build. IIRC, the Canadians got some M4A2 (76) postwar. There is a fantastic book about the M4A2 in Soviet service called "Commanding the Red Army's Shermans" which I recommend for anyome interested in Shermans, Soviet Armor, the individual's experience on the Eastern Front, or WW2 in general.

Same here... as soon as I finished the book, I pulled DML's kit of the subject and dove in, about two years ago. I guess I could finish it one day.

Well, it was written by a Russian........ Truly was a great read, though. Kind of interesting how the tankers in Lend-Lease equipment were segregated from the rest.

What I liked was the differing viewpoint on the Sherman, they really liked the accuracy of the gun, as well as the consistency in quality from tank to tank. And they also liked that some American workers stocked the gun barrels with booze as a gift! John
