Excellent dio John. Everything in the scene "fits together" perfectly. It all looks realistic and the building both adds to the scene as well as providing a natural background. Lots of nice details, everywhere. Pity there weren´t more images. Love all the rubble and furniture. Nice one.

Nice overall diorama. I like the mirror.
What product did you use for the street?

Thanks guys, Scott the street was done with spackling paste and scribed with a needle, the curb was made with Das Pronto clay and scribed into seperate sections to resemble individual blocks. Then all was painted with a mixture of grays and browns.

Gday John
This looks fantastic...
The effort you have put into the building really shows, and the rubble looks perfect... The mirror effect is really well done!
Your road has come up well, and the general layout is good to view from almost any angle
What figures are they? You have put them in some good positions...
I eagerly await your next Sherman diorama (I'm working on mine as we speak) ok?!
Cheers

Very Nice dio. I've always liked the Jumbo Sherman and I love the bath tub.

Indeed a very nicely done scene. Is that the Tamiya Jumbo, and did you use any update sets or replacements? It looks good.

Sean,
yes it is the Tamiya kit. The only thing I did was make the weld beads more pronounced otherwise it's OOB. Looking back, I think I would have tried using the Blast Models resin conversion for this kit. It seems the Tamiya kit is not as accurate as I first thought.

Yeah, I did one of these in 2005 (though I have never photo'd it). At the time, I was told that the TWS turret was the best replacement for itand bought it. Then a week later I found out about the Blast update for the Jumbo. I have seen some peoples work with the Blast set, and it is impressive. However, you have done a good job with the Tamiya OOB.

This is an amazing piece and I'm glad you've shared with us, thanks.
The rubble details are great. Furniture, nice painted sherman, and the figures... Everything fits and looks very very nice.
