Jürgen Nirschl shares his German Landsknecht, a 1/9 scale bust by Pagan Art. The bust is finished with acrylics, and recently placed first in the July 2006 Seil Model Figure of the Month contest.

Greetings Jürgen:

I am looking at a 1:9th scale bust in my left hand, right now here
at my 'pooter table. And as I look at the amazing photo of your first place
FMOM and look at the size of that little 1:9th bust in my hand,
I just shake my head. It is so small.

Your ability to paint with such great detail and subtlety (had to look up the
spelling on that woid) of tone is just a marvel. Looking at the picture that
ME Rudi posted gives the impression that this bust is much larger in
scale than 1:9th — such as 200mm or 250mm. Congratulations. I hope
we will see more of your amazing work on HF very soon.

I'm still shaking ma' haid and just marvel at that photo. . . But I've gotta'
quit that as the ear wax is falling down into my key pad and it might short
out my 'pooter. . .

Great paintwork on a great sculpted bust. A very well deserved first place on the FOTM and very nice to have it in the feature sections.
