Campaign leader John Fortier (PvtParts) announced the AGE#2 campaign on Nov.10,2004 in forums but today I checked it and was surprised when I see only 5 participants. I checked the AGE#1 and saw that we had 25 participants on 2004 and at least 13 entries were ready for vote. I wondered all those people were 17 in AGE#1 and now they are over of age limitation? Besides there is a new format this year telling ''Any Armorama member with 1 year or less experience'' is acceptable. We only have experienced modelers here?

So where are you Young Mates? Come on and make this AGE campaigns an Armorama tradition.

you didn't noticed the prizes?

I would like to but:
1. I'm 18 now
2. I'm about 2-3 years of modeling experience.

Oh darn....

I am 24 years old but just started modeling about 2 weeks ago. This makes me able to participate? If so I will join up cause I am working on 2 projects right now I would like to enter.

I started dabbling again about a month or so ago thanks to looking at this dang site here. First thing I did was went out, bought a Campbell Hausfield compressor, then didn't like my existing airbrush, so I got a Paasche VL.

Started painting some old projects I had from years past with straight Testors acrylic, didn't like em. Switched over to Tamiya....can you see a serious money sink here? Then I did my first model in years which was a typical NASCAR race car. I just used it to get the feel for stuff again. I started to work on a Saturn V Booster but quickly got frustrated at its poor fitment, so I picked up a cheapie 1/72 Panzer IVh and am loving it so that is my first project. that I started about 2 weeks ago, its currently almost complete in just a basic coat of Tamiya Field Grey. Not sure what camo pattern I am doing on it yet.

My next project I am not sure what it is going to be, I started back on that Saturn V again last night, since I got better with putty in the last week or so. Since I can't enter it, you may see a Tamiya Panther A or the Panzer IVh 1:72 from me. Not really sure. I know I could totally write a book so far as to my ups and downs in modeling. I am sort of keeping a diary of things I have found out, bought, etc which may be found on here eventually as a guide to newbies such as myself.

I signed up 17 or older (18 1/2). Not sure what I'm gonna do, how I'm gonna get it (nearest serious model shop is an hour away and I have no car), or when I will be able to do it (not much room in a dorm, so I'm limited to sneaking home to work on models for a couple days a month under the pretext of "seeing the family" ). But, hey, life is more unpredictable!

It's all starting to get rolling now. Lets keep this on the first page for a bit so we can get some competition.

A quick word of advice on the Campbell-Hausfield. If you purchased the small hobby compressor (2-3 gallon) it has problems. It would seem that those models had regulator problems and over time (within a year) will stop working and prevents the tank from ever filling. Now, this is covered by the warranty, but finding a place that can do the warranty work is another story. I'm on my second compressor. I thought the first one was a fluke, but this compressor is doing the same thing. I plan to buy a better quality compressor when this one roles over and dies.

This, so you were aware of the potential problem.

Take care
