Looking very nice. Built the old Academy one and scratch built a lot to fix it, but this is looking very tempting.

Hi all,

Swore I'd stick to Tamiya shake-and-bake kits and not get into building any of these 1K+ kits, but this does look sooooo tempting, .

Mind you, it may come to nought, like their supposed Chieftain kit a few years back...that was very disappointing, .

Cheers, ,

That is G's point Dan. Meng announced one but it never released it. Discussed in several places, including pics of the test model:

Maybe they shelved it when Takom released theirs?

For the Chieftain they had only 3D models. They probably cut their losses before making the tools for it. No disrespect for the Chieftain, but it is not the most popular or brilliant fighting machine...

This has gotten significantly closer to completion. I wonder if they release PE slats for it separately. The Accurate Armour ones seem to be for a slightly different version.
A WRAP2 version would be welcome, as well. I got burned by the Cromwell guy years ago.

Personally I'm thrilled that the slat armour is in styrene as the PE for that endeavor was always my bugaboo.

The Meng Warrior kit is now available and in stock at some Hong Kong shops. I have placed my order with Lucky Model for 2 kits.

At Sprue Bros now. Ordered mine already. I built my first Warrior way back in the early 90's.......Accurate Armor. Love the vehicle, haven't completed my Academy one...this one will will not sit on the shelf very long.

I have it in my stash, it's next in line after I finish the 1/16th. Stuart build I have going on here.
Donald

It's really nice even if I think the Bar Armor looks a little heavy
