Were you trying to upload multiple pics or just one? I've had issues when trying to do multiples; but one at a time seems to work.

I joined rather late, but here is my entry in "Got Wheels?"

It has eight wheels but mainly uses four.

I'm building the CyberHobby BDRM-2 (no missiles). It will be "buttoned up" and in an Iraqi paint scheme (I believe this is the type of vehicle that fired on us during Desert Storm).

I started on it right away and got a bit done. I did spend a lot of time cleaning up the seam lines and filling in the knock-out marks. So far, so good. I do have a set of Panzer Art rims/wheels on the way, so it may wind up sitting on blocks like in a bad neighborhood.

Welcome to this campaign, Mike.

Interesting theme you have.

As you have more than 4 months before the end, I think you are not really in late.

Thank you for the welcome Alex.

So far I've registered for eight campaigns this year with three completed, four being worked on, and one I'm debating about starting.

This one was kind of a last-minute decision - I had looked at it several times and didn't think I had a kit for it. Then I reread it again this afternoon and thought, yeah...I got something.

One very dirty beast Andras. It is a very unusual design with the different wheels. I'm interested to see the final result.

First build update for my 1/35 Takom 1/4 truck aka Willys Jeep.

I have finished construction of the chassis, engine and drive train.

It is nicely detailed out of the box which is a nice bonus despite the fact that most of it wont be visible.

I have built Takom kits in the past and have always found them to be of good quality and easy to build but I have to say I am deeply unimpressed so far with this kit. While it is detailed, the amount of work to get there is insane. I don't know if its just my particular kit but the amount of flash, mold lines and broken parts is ridiculous, especially for a newly released kit. I can honestly say its worse than some of the earlier Dragon kits I have worked with

The instructions are also not the clearest, especially when it comes to order of operations in installing parts.

Oh well, I will keep on persevering.

OK so here is the V-100 armoured commando car almost at the finish line.

i have added scratch built wing mirrors as i didn't like the rectangle ones that came with the kit, most of the vietnam era vehicles i have seen have the round type. as you can see i have also started to paint the kit by pre-shading it.

Sorry guys, I put my build back in the box. Waiting for better modeling times. Just can not get the drive to do it now.

Mike, David and Rory looking good.

Rory, interesting to hear about the Jeep. I caved and bought Meng's Wasp Jeep kit cheap recently. It will be interesting to see how that compares to the Takom one.

Love it when someone adds a little detail David.

Mike, do you drag out a nice pristine cutting mat for your pics? Mine looks like it was dragged behind the car for a few miles.

It is absolutely unrealistic, I just wanted to see how much I can add without it looking silly. (Never really did a muddy, rusty vehicle the likes I have seen masters can do around here.)

Regardless it is getting done; I think I will call it a day soon. (Unless you suggest anything I should be looking at.)

Hey folks. Count me in this campaign. I began a Italeri SDKFZ 234/2 Puma for the GB. I'm currently done putting a basecoat.

Wow. I haven't seen the old Italeri Puma taken out for a spin in a long time. You did a great job on it Nigel. Looks like you even closed the gap on the nose that Francois Verlinden couldn't do!

Thanks Peter! I actually did not do a complete job (noticed a gap at the side.... let's just call it a weld bead? hehe). I enjoyed building this kit but I screwed up several times with the suspension. I'm glad the glue hadn't set yet, allowed me to pry the parts out and put them in the right orientation.

Here she is now, with a camo applied. Decaling is next. Let's see if they held up after all these years

Cant be worse *touches wood*. I think it will look really good when put together but it should not have taken as much work as it did. I will definitely say this is not for novice modelers or someone used to kits that go together nicely and well.

Its been a fight but I have the whole thing put together. Now its onto painting which I should have done by the end of the weekend.

@Rory
Meng's Jeep is a very nice kit. Sometimes too fiddly when it comes to the final assembly. You may like to remove a seam on the side of the cab, just behind the rear axle - it shouldn't be there.

Hey folks!

I finished my Italeri SDKFZ 234/2 over the weekend. Been super productive with the down time the pandemic has enforced on work. Would appreciate any constructive feedback. I hope you're all safe!

Took too much time off from this one, but I finally finished:

Did what I could with the lighting, too hot to go outside after sun up. Mostly working really early morning or after dark if it isn't too hot.
