Robert Jan & Bogi, I like the idea of something to get us out of our comfort zone, build to our weaknesses.
But when I suggested "No Guts, No Glory" for a name I meant kits with an interior. Guts, an American slang term for your internal organs, heart, liver, kidneys and so on. Also bravery & nerve for building something with 1200 parts. Most parts that are tiny & delicate, require a near perfect fit and will never be seen again when completed. The "glory" comes when it's finally done !

Once again, I do like the idea of doing something that I'm not good at. Things like a lot of PE, airbrushing cammo patterns, weathering so it looks realistic. Figures could be better too.

We're still 2 months a way from 2020. Plenty of time to polish our ideas and come up with more.

I also like the idea of "Building a Photo". LOTS of subjects there to select from. My subject is ready to go: Dragon's kit#6291, Pz.IV Ausf.C, filling it's tank at a gas station using MiniArt's new gas station set. But I guess that would be "modeling a box top".

Keep those ideas coming people !!!

Richard, 'Trucks and Trailers' could be expanded to anything being towed by something, that would open up to a lot more variety if you think the options are limited. Say ARV's towing disabled vehicles, artillery movers and their guns, Hanomag and V2 combo, Jeep and Trailer, Jeep and field/AT gun (ala Bronco), etc.

Recovery vehicles could be a whole build on their own with so many options available Bergepanther, Bergehetzer, M31, M32, M26 Dragon Wagon, Scammell, M88, BergeLeopard, M578, TOP, AAVR7A1, etc, etc.

I'd be up for 'No Guts, No Glory'. Have a few kits I have put on the sideline due to the number of parts - just need that push.

Build a photo is also a great idea.

Angel, I'd be 'lonely' with you on the scratch build option. We got a reasonable number of participants this year. Maybe more chance of more entrants with an option for scratch building a reasonable amount of added detail in lieu of a majority scratch build components. This would be encouraging the first steps on the 'Perilous path of plastic'.

Congratulations Richard and thank you for taking this on!

Lots of great campaign ideas coming out as well. No Guts, No Glory would be a skill pusher for me and Build a Photo sounds really fun. Figures are also a weak spot for me, so would enjoy that.

Happy Modeling,
Zon

I like No Guts,No Glory and Build a Photo concepts very much!

Having read Bogi and Peter comments, I modify my Scratch Builders Campaign proposal to Conversions/Kitbashing/Scratchbuilds Campaign with rules, that implicitly leave "the door wide open".

With 75th anniversary of WWII end coming next year, we could also have a WWII Campaign, covering all types of war machinery used in any theatre of war by any belligirent, from his entry into the war till 1945.A sort of Super Campaign.
I believe there can be more than 150 participants!

After getting some explanation of typical slang, No Guts No Glory would be more than welcome. 3 interior kits to go for at least, looking at my stash.
The 75 anniversary campaign is also a great idea, lots of ideas for that one.

Wow the Artillery, the IDF, and the Winter camo stuff is particularly interesting to me! Unlike others, my build rate is a bit abysmal in terms of speed, so those three (plus my very own wheeled campaign, let's not forget that!) is gonna do all I can build in 1 year!

Some great ideas have been posted so far guys!

Let's start seeing some campaign proposal threads started! As soon as yours has 10 people wanting to join you can submit it for approval. Hopefully the campaign administrator won't be asleep at the switch and will get it set up for ya! We can only hope.

Good luck and happy modeling!

Richard, correct me if I am wrong.
People showed interest for
Ww2 anniversary campaign
Build a photo campaign
Trailers campaign
Figures campaign
For me, none of this campaigns or all of them is ok. So, others can decide.
You are doing a great job. Keep on...

Sure interest has been shown for some new campaigns but somebody's got to take on the mantle of leadership. I'm just your facilitator.

I'm still feeling out what my duties are. I can put the proposals in the forums if that's how it's been done in the past. I'll be the campaign leader for the two that I've proposed: Operation Snow White and I Like Big GUNS!

I am the Campaign Leader for
20/20 in 2020
Bundeswehr

but can probably pick up the mantle for another as one is early year, the other later. If there is a preference for any of the others to take precedence, let me know and I'll set up a thread...

Well proposing a campaign is easy, but to be honest I'm not the person to lead as such. So would be nice if someone picks this up. Think it could be a great campaign.
