Well then lets just forgo any semblance of topic organization, skip thread titles all together and just start listing each thread as a blank line. Then those who want to look through each and every blank line to see if there is anything they are interested in can do so.

The rest of us can go troll the porno sites where at least the types of sex and types of girls have some bit of order so you know what you are getting into before you take the plunge!

Dennis this subject topic does not belong in here in any form and I cannot come up with a good reason for it; I have left it here because it caused no harm by its presence. I have noted that you have been tackled about posting it here and I do understand the reason that question is raised. I would ask that those making those requests to be civil and I would also request that same of those defending it it being here. Due to how this thread has gone I will be more considerate in my perceptions of such threads and will take whatever actions is needed.

The problem and the additional workload on you to have to police this thread and others like it wouldn't exist if you deleted it, simple.

If you have an interest in aircraft then I would assume you also look in the those forums for aircraft related news. I wonder what would happen if armour modellers started posting about new releases of tanks, armoured cars etc in the aircraft forums on the pretense that someone who does aircraft modelling might also have an interest in armour. Be interesting to see how that pans out.

Thank You, Darren, for your consideration of this matter.

As I stated in the very beginning of this thread, I wanted to try to dissipate some of the "lethargy" which has been pervading ARMORAMA lately. I have certainly "awakened" a few people, some of whom have responded with "civility", and some with enthusiasm. Others unfortunately, have decided to respond with the downright hostility and derision for which they are (in)famously known. I've also managed to bring out these certain individuals' "closed-mindedness" and their general lack of a sense of humor...

I've reached the decision that I no longer want to participate in anything posted on ARMORAMA, now or in the future. I am not the only reader/poster who feels this way. Several readers of this thread have made their feelings known about the discord which has a bad habit of descending upon ARMORAMA on a regular basis.

It is NO WONDER that there have been a number of readers and "potential posters" who shy away from any participation here on this site. There are other hobby sites, including ARMORAMA's other "KITMAKER Network" sites, in which their atmospheres seem to be more "civil" AND I might add, quite a bit more more congenial.

I expect that there will be a few "cheers and jeers" from certain individuals concerning my decision; no matter, I take pleasure in going along my merry way...

When I heard about Eduard’s P51 I went right away to Aeroscale-not Armorama (and I found a nice build there).

Pssst, Michael: the thread title clearly states it's about flying objects. Feel free NOT to click on it. Just sayin'.

Controversy here not withstanding I was one those a little bummed at not "winning" the chance to purchase a 'White Box Tamiya P-38' at the Nationals this weekend. Oh well I'll just have to wait til November when they are officially released

Gents,

As an obscure Irish modeler said, "If'n a topic don't interest ye, pass on bye for fook's sake."

(Gotta stop binging "Derry Girls").

No one is forcing anyone here to read a post that clearly is about aircraft. If it's not appropriate, there are editors to move it. But many of us build both things that crawl on the ground and fly in the air, so I clicked on it, yes I did.

So did I , glad I did !! Many of us dont have time to check every posts on every board ! jeez get a life !

OK I suspect that at least some folks here are simply responding from of a mindset of that of a devil's advocate. But let's set that aside for a moment . . . .

Are any of us here foolish enough to think that total server space in Gigabytes is an unlimited quantity or that there are no additional costs involved in posting multiple extraneous listings for many/all new product announcements?

Beyond that would it be fair to say that there is a large percentage of aircraft only modelers who choose not to look at the entire subject spectrum offered by the KitMaker Network? If so then that would mean that an aircraft announcement made under the Armor banner would be viewed at a lower efficiency rating (fewer views, fewer hits) than one made in the aircraft section?

The ultimate question here is: are we trying to distribute the greatest amount of knowledge and information to the greatest number of people OR are we just playing with the dust bunnies that tumble off our work benches?

So once again I ask; should we just throw out all semblance of organization on the Armorama site and cease to try to provide reasonable, sensible titles to the threads posted here? If you think these multiple useless listings are a good idea then I read your opinion as a vote to teardown the KitMaker/Armorama network and destroy what has successfully been built up to now.

Honestly I don't even know why we are talking about this.

In a very small way it is something similar to suggesting that we start driving in both directions on our highways regardless of past rules and turn off all the trafficlights and just let us all do whatever we feel.

I agree with Biggles; I'm going to try and just stop looking at this thread.
