I first bought Tamiya''s Spray Work over 15 years ago and didn''t find much use for it with the aircraft kits that formed my almost exclusive modelling diet back then. It''s a totally different story with car modelling, though, as I find in this belated re-evaluation.

Excellent review Rowan.

I bought the painting stand many years ago. I can certainly recommend it.

Great review Rowan.
Its a must have for painting car bodies, and I have found another use for the bigger stand, with a bit of help from some masking tape its great for holding small ships, whilst adding parts to it.

Great review Rowan.

The smaller stand is definitely unbeatable for car body work, but the bigger stand is great for loading up with lots of small parts on various clips and holders, and being able to rotate it around to grab without reaching across everything.

Rowan, good re-evaluation.
Indeed, for me, as an auto modeler, the life is much better with the Tamiya stand. I also use the larger turn table for 1/35th scale armor bodies.
I would definitely call it an "essential tool", right in the same league as the modelling knife, sanding stick and the glue!

Rowan,
Great review of a Tamiya item that I keep on promising myself to buy, and keep on forgetting to order one. My last Sprue Brothers order (two weeks ago), I finally remembered, and guess what, they were out of stock.
