Does anyone have a ticket in with Dragoncare at this time??

In the past my experience has been pretty good; albeit I have only ever had one claim that I had to put in a couple of years ago.

I opened a Ticket in early December 2018.

On December 27, 2018 I received a request asking me to submit supporting documentation. I submitted the requested information that same day; since that time I have heard nothing.

On February 2nd I received an email informing me that it was Chinese New Year, and my request was being taken care of. It is now March 6, 2019 and still nothing.....

Is this normal?? Based on my previous experience it is quite slow..or perhaps my first experience was uniquely a good one.

"Dragon Don't Care". I haven't found them very helpful either.

Hi,

I've opened a ticket at Dragoncare in May2018.
I sent all the requested documents and invoices, and I was told that the needed parts are under production (???). In September I asked the status of the parts, and I was told that they are under production, and perhaps in October they will be complete... (At this point I was thinking how kits are produced at Dragon, since a few part need four months to be done...)
... And in January 2019 I asked them again what the hell is the issue, and last week 1March2019! they replied that the parts are ready to shipment...
Sooo, I eagerly wait to the parts to arrive...

Adam

I had an open ticket on a very simple issue. Sent the documentation they requested, and heard nothing back.

It's hit and miss,

Sometimes it works, sometimes not.

I asked for missing sprues to complete my Sdkfz 7/1 with armored cab, and there was communication, but in the end nothing happened.

Not sure if this was due to the fact that the missing sprue wasn't on the sprue diagram in the kit.

Two months shy of one year since putting my claim in with Dragoncare....and the phrase "Dragon-don't-care" is living up to it's name.

We've gone on "ad infinitem" with Dragon Care in many other posts. I can't defend them, but...it should be understood by all modelers that manufacturers delve into already produced kits to get spare or replacement parts, and they don't just go out and make new parts just for you. When those kits are sold or otherwise used up, you're going to have to wait until a subsequent production run. Subsequent production runs depend on demand and sales. So there may be some kits you'll never get a spare part for from the manufacturer. It might be better to ask for help from other modelers. Out of curiosity, what's the kit you're looking for parts?

It is my belief that if they do not have a returned or damaged kit to part from then you do not get a part.
