and I'd be the second to ask: "extension please"

my plan was to finish my ki-46 this week, but with 40C (104F) it's very difficult to work on my models.

Michael,

I'll be the first to jump in and say "extension please!". I got sidetracked with a commission gig (Otaki 1/48 Willow). I've learned much about painting orange! And yes it does peel! There's a joke in there somewhere. I'm fairly close to finishing the "Nick", though I've come to really dislike canopy masking.

If no extension, that's ok, because I can just showcase in Hangar Queen 9!

Lapman, cool choice. A unusual pusher puller twin. Looking forward to see more.

A little more progress on my Me 262. Decals are on. I could not help add a little artistic license with the eagle on the side. The square area on the eagle will be filled out.

more to follow soon.

Hi All,

Jose, no fools here! Looks good, can't wait to see what you do with it!

As for me, following my P-40 fiasco, I'm making steady progress on the Ki-45. This is a nice kit so far, considering it was molded in the early 80's, the detail is surprisingly nice. The engines are even better than the Hasegawa offering, though, once the cowling is on and the prop and spinner in place, not much can be seen.

The instrument panel is pretty bland, so I added some Airscale decals to spruce it up, they can be seen, though barely.

I've closed the wings and the fuselage, and working on the engines. It's a pleasant fast build so far!

Next up will be to dip the canopies in Future, and then mask - oh boy!

Keep up the great work!

Some more progress on my ME 262 for this campaign. I have now made a late war camo using AK Interactives new true colors for late war luftwaffe. They go on smooth and looks right to me. They come out darker in the picture than real life. I will make sure to post some daylight pictures later.

Next is some decalling. I am making colorful scheme - more to follow 🙂

I'm ready to jump into this campaign now, but have a question:

Does this kit qualify as less than 25% completed and therefor valid to use in this campaign?

I am thinking yes, but I wanted to be sure.

Basically the wings are together and the cockpit mostly done along with some interior painting, but the remainder is pretty much untouched.

Take Care Bob, hope you get well soon. I'll still hoping to start a Heller / Airfix P-38J/L for this one soon.

A little progress on my Me 262. Quite some sanding necessary and expect more filling and sanding once the first base coat is on.

More to follow soon.

And its almost identical twin for another campaign.

I am going with a Me 262 for this campaign. I will go old school with the Monogram/Revell/Testor 1/48 kit.

I have a box that should contain two Me 262s. These should have been build a long time ago.

One Me 262 will be for this campaign, the other for the "Hangar Queen" Campaign. I hope all the bits are there. If not, I will still build one for this campaign and find something else for the "Hangar Queen" campaign.

More to follow soon

After the fiasco with the foil mask job on my Bomber 2 a/c leaving residue I have reverted back to Tamiya tape for the canopies.

I had the same experience with foil masking. It's like using a liquid mask and has to be removed fairly soon after being applied.

I won't be trying it again.
