It is quite possible those Serbian friends of yours are still coming-in 3 weeks time there will be another modelling contest(this time in Sofia), organized by Scale Models Club Bulgaria.
I've seen models and modellers from Serbia, Greece and Northern Macedonia taking part in previous years and I'm sure there will be foreign participation also this year.
