Nice work Donald. I had been eyeballing this kit but wanted to read what others had to say about this kit. And, I'm bit disappointed to read that it's another missed opportunity by Trumpeter. Oh man, I wanted this bad but I guess I'll just stick with Panda 1/35 kit. Thanks for sharing your work.

Well, I went against my own words and purchased this kit/toy. So, let the journey begin. Lol

Btw, even though you had many issues with your build, I like to say the end result looks cool. I'm going to us 1/35 kit as a guide and add some of my own detail that is missing or not as good.

So, now I know you are excited to tackle that new 1/16 MaxxPro

It would be nice if an AM company would do a comprehensive update for this thing, resin and photo-etch. At least the details would be easier on my eyes if I decided to scratch them! I would also use the 1/35th scale model as a guide. Good idea Mike.

Eric

Eric I have seen guys use Eduard ph sets for smaller scale copied on paper and enlarged to whatever size they need and use it to create their own out of various plastic sheets. It's bt of a work but doable. Eduard has nice detail sets in 1/35 and I was thinking about getting them and use them as template for this kit. I also found few things on Shapeway in 1/16 that can be of help in this project. Just an FYI.

Btw, where about in Cali are you located? I'm tad bit north of Sac.

I used a tablet and can't see any pics. Perhaps photos are too heavy and they are numerous and on the same page.

I may have to pitch my walkaround here. No part of the vehicle left uncovered, and you'll certainly see details not on the 1/35 kit.

I had to search on my place on the cloud where the Pics are stored, you should be able to see them now.
Apparently if the Pics aren't accesed regulary they are placed in storage.
