I have the Barry Beldam drawings that show details of the markings and I will try and upload them tomorrow. The serial number are not visible but someone here likely has block numbers so you can be in the general neighbourhood.
With the release of the new Tamiya M10 there has been some mention of dimensional errors in the AFV Achilles, however the PMMS review doesn't mention anything major, and I am no help as I thought it looked great when I bought it.
One other thing, I think I read that The Brits and Canadians did not use the fibre tubes for ammo storage so you may want to get the Bronco 17pdr ammo set.

Guys,

Is it possible to re-post the images of Chippawa/Caribou or email them to me?

TIA

Don Dingwall's book Canadian Vehicles In Korea (Service Publications, Ottawa 2015) has a few photos of Achilles TDs either training in Canada (or the U.S.) prior to going to Korea, and being off-loaded from ships on Korean docks and being prepared for action (which they would not see). There is even a photo of one being prepared for shipment back to Europe via Japan, the plan being to offer these vehicles to NATO allies.

Guys, Were these tanks repainted SCC15 after they were converted or left as Olive Drab? If repainted SCC15 what colour is this?

Thanks
Brad

They were repainted SCC15. Mark Starmer has some good mixes for Tamiya and Humbrol paints but, if you are in a pinch or don't like to mix, a good fresh US OD is quite good enough. When fresh, the two colours looked pretty much identical (as they were supposed to) and when faded the SCC15 took on a _slightly_ greener cast than the OD.

But, and this is important, none of these vehicles faded much, if at all, in the 10 months remaining in the war. Lighten for scale effect or modulation, but don't fade unless depicting a vehicle at the very end of the war and even then only a hint of fading. It just didn't happen.

Hi Paul,

Yes after I posted this, I found Mike's updated Tamiya mix for SCC15. Thanks for your advice.

Cheers
Brad
