Thank you for a very concise and well detailed review. Like you, I can't see any valid reason for each of the landing gear struts to be split in two. There is always the chance for misalignment, and tedious prep for painting. Not to mention that they can't be nearly as strong as a single solid strut.

The markings do look quite colorful, which should produce an excellent display model.

This is the Tornado kit to beat at the moment.
