Hey all-
Just writting to say that even though I am 17 and would be very interested in joining, my current project is a scratchbuilt one that I am trying to get ready for the Verona competition in April. But hey, you did say it was quarterly, right?

Istarted the Churchill like 2-3 days ago. So far she is almost done. I think htat I will work on another one while I am waiting for stuff on the Churchill to set, or dry. So far so good. I might make a dio of my little Churchy to. I am still deating that.

Do figs that came witht he kit count as out of the box? Or would that be a seperate model kit?

Chip they count as the same kit as the Churchill.
Steve may be able to confirm that though.

Hi Meissen--this is a good question and for now, I'll default to the few rules and regs posted on the AGE campaign page.

"The Rules and Regs
(1) Participating modelers must be 17 and under.
(2) The model must be built straight out of the box with no aftermarket or scratch items.
(3) One model submission per participant."

To elaborate, dio's should contain your one model submission built straight out of the box, and as Dave aka Animal mentioned above, oob figures are acceptable also. It is a difficult call as to describe what's "allowed" in the balance of the dio. For example, an oob model displayed on a dio base that is loaded up with a number of aftermarket scenery items would be somewhat contra to the concept of this Campaign.

Obviously any dio has to contain basic ground work and/or scenery, whether it is an AFV, AC or ship model. Go ahead and build your dio base as you see fit, while concentrating on your oob skills applied to your model.

The basic intent of the A Guard in this first AGE Campaign, was to allow modelers to display, (to the best of their ability), solid/clean oob construction of their model, (i.e. good part fit, no seams, etc), proper decal application, and paint and weathering applications.

But, the primary intent --- is to have fun! Thanks for your question, and for your participation in the AGE Campaign.

Steve

Dio is going good. I put hedgrows in, and have my Churchill parked next to them on a dirst road in Normandy. All the figures are included inside the CHurchill kit. And there is a surprise that makes this dio quite a special one. But you will have to wait and see.
