and now....the queen question:anti-slip?!?yes or not?!Who says yes who says no....Michael Mass says yes in a post over IDF Modelling, other experts say no for the very first batches of the "cruel woman"...I've also seen a walkaround with a very very fine anti-slip.....hardly to depict in 1/35....what do you say?!

Ciro
In the "research" I did for this review I found many examples on line, but few with an overhead to see the anti slip coating. The example on Prime portal, is different than this variant, but not by much and it did not have the anti slip as far as I could tell. There are other, not sure if they are older or newer, variants that have different engine deck configuration and various other changes. There is also an engineering vehicle variant as well. I think it is safe to say that you could leave it off and be just as fine as if you added it. I am sure that the two existing books on the Achzarit, from Mass & Manasherob both would have some great reference photos of most of the variants and that is where I would start my research. Cheers.

According to what I have found, the "Early's" had both with and without anti-slip. You could add it or not and be fine either way.

Great review, thank you. I loved building this kit, and the best thing about it is that you detail it from the spares box, and with average modelling skills – there is no need for any aftermarket add ons – it is possible to really tweak the kit. I would say that the most notable omission is the lack of the 60mm mortar on the roof top; but then from my references (I’ve both the recently published titles on this vehicle), it wasn’t too common anyway.
And with regards to the anti-slip, I can say it is not essential. Identify a vehicle you want to portray and model to that.

The RWS that I have seen, the new one, is a .50cal mounted, but if you ar doing an older version then a 240 would work, no stock.
