Brian, nice looking new workbench there, 1 of these days when I get caught up with all these campaigns that I'm in I'm gonna make a nice setup like that in my basement
But for now I am still working at my temporary workbench that I set up when I had ankle surgery in May of 2010 and couldnt go up or down stairs

Oh by the way did I mention that this is in my kitchen by the back door to the house, makes for very efficient use of down time
Stash is kept upstairs in the den and AB is down at the basement workbench with no ventilation Do we really need ventilation

I forgot to put in a picture of my Iraq work bench... Being in an Engineer Battalion helped immensely, because all the tools and wood were easily scarfable... hehe

only built one model the whole year, but honestly I think aside from my first model ever, it was the most fun kit I had ever built. Old school tools, paints, techniques. Doug and John if your out there... those kits meant the world to me!

Hi Brian

In my youth, I used to have an air pistol that I used on some of my lesser quality models !!!!! I see you have something a little more effective should you wish to recreate an 88mm round hitting a nice shiny Sherman in your temporary back garden out their in Iraq !!!!!!!!!!!!

Looking at all these pics of peoples set up, it occurs to me, it is not about where you build, or what you build... it is the enjoyment of the hobby, building something, somewhere.

Oh my gosh SdAufKla!! When I grow up I want to have a hob, err I mean a factory/warehouse set-up like you have!! Do you employ workers to man each station?

All the kidding aside, nice place!

~ Jeff

Ah, Jeff... You know I had to shoo the munchkins out before I took that picture! But don't worry, I feed 'em regular and provide plenty of fresh water...

Yeah, Mike, that is some kind of cool setup!!! Is that post and beam construction!????? What part of SC, my father lives in Murrells Inlet, and a very close friend of mine lives in Beaufort.

Hi Brian! I live up in the piney-woods forests between Columbia and Charlotte, a couple of miles west off of I-77. If you're ever planning to pass through my AOR, let me know. I'll alert the gate guards and make sure you have current challenge & pasword!

Seriously, you're welcome to stop on by if you're ever passing through.

The ceiling is just the exposed rafters and tongue and groove...

Happy modeling, guys!

@ Sal, LOL I should have taken a few pictures of the 5 foot long fold up table I had in my livingroom when my wife went to Florida for a week.... but I like your setup just fine!! I see the coffee pot and the Jager are not far out of reach and that helps any maladies!! Incidentally, is your callsign LTB?? are you in public safety

@Mike, Im sorry I missed your show there.. I try to get over to Ct but this year I had National Guard drill that weekend.

@Jtucker... That is a great idea!!! Where in Maine?? I have camped at Balsam Cove a few tiimes and loved it there!

LTB yeah that's me over 24 years with the NYPD, 10 years in my current rank of Lieutenant. 073 was my favorite precinct that I worked in Brownsville Brooklyn, I'm currently in the penalty box assigned to the 061 Precinct in Sheepshead Bay, Brooklyn. Getting ready to go in now for my midnight shift

Mine is a work in progress. The reason its all cleaned up is that I'm currently working in Afghanistan. One day I will be able to stay in it longer than a few days.

This is my desk, after I finally got out of the basement, into my own Man Cave. But I still have to airbrush down there. Mine came from our favorite Swedish Store, Ikea.

Thats just fantastic, all it needs is stainless steel walls, a beer fridge and some dancing girls!

This is my new work space that I just moved into a few weeks ago Its pretty clean looking as I haven’t had time to let it get cluttered. I still need to work on getting better lighting up. I just inherited the old desk from my parents, it’s been in the family for years.

Keith, that's a modeller's dream! So much room to store stuff, natural light to the fullest and a big working area. I wish to have such a room one day, too.
By the way, is that a Marder 1A5 in your spray booth? Looking nice from what I can make out in the picture. Love the green camo/desert yellow UTF (Umtarnfarbe).

All you guys have great places to work. Besides actual models, looking at other people's work rooms is the thing I like most im modelling

Here's my little hideout from the 1:1 world - the pictures are pretty old, but much hasn't changed since. My kits are stored in a different place.

Keep the pics coming

Cheers
