I've tended to notice that the ones that generally get the most votes are the ones that have closer shots of the models. I can understand why since people want to see the deatils to form their opinion for a vote. Trying to get a tank in with the full barrel is an issue. I've seen a few shots that were close-ups and only partial barrels showing.

I think it's not just the close up shots that count but in general the quality of the photo. If the model is awesome but the lighting and the angles isn't done right, well, it won't be successful.

I totally agree. Will not always the close-ups, but the ones with nicer pics will sometimes beat out a better model with crappy pics.

Boring nitpick comment: is it the best thing that a running total of votes is shown? As it is hard, if not impossible, to rationally choose one over another, I wonder if some people just go with the flow . . .

i totally agree,
Rick would this be plausable?

+ 1 here, the visible vote count may even influence ones vote, I think in the long past it was not visible till the end of the competition.

That is correct, but it is in the list of things to be fixed.

Yes Higher HQ is a ware of the problem.

And I agree it would be better without seeing the vote count.

cheers
