Introduction

I will write something about the ASLAV-25 and its M242 Bushmaster armament. The ASLAV-25 is an armored reconnaissance vehicle and is a primary vehicle of the ASLAV family. The production starts in Canada where the hull is fitted to the turret, then it's sent to Australia where all other small pieces will be put together. The standard vehicle has a Delco designed turret equipped with a M242 25mm cannon and two MAG 58 7.62 mm machine guns.

The Review

This small set arrived in a nice clear acetate box. When you open it you can see following items:

-Two Sheets of Photo etch ( One with Smoke discharger parts and the other one with M242 parts),
-8 turned brass Smoke discharger main parts,
-2 turned brass parts for the M242,
-1 resin part for M242

This set is a very nice little set that can improve your LAV-25's turret. Since there is not much to write on this review I decided to assemble the M242 so I will describe that. In the first step, you have to take the resin part and remove the resin block from it, followed by little cleaning and smoothing. Then take the two turned brass parts. Insert PE# V5 between the two parts and glue everything together and while drying you can glue PE# V7 to the resin part. When everything is dry, glue them together and you have an M242 that is much, much better than the one supplied in the kit.

Conclusion

There's one thing about this set, even though it's a good upgrade, I think its overpriced. It's nice and you get resin,PE and turned brass parts but 18$ I believe is a little bit too much. If you buy the other PE sets and maybe another transkit/upgrade that will be very expensive - this set alone costs almost as much as the kit.
So to conclude, you get a nice multimedia update set for your ASLAV-25 with some really good detail, just a little bit overpriced.
SUMMARY
Highs: Multimedia set, simple instructions
Lows: Over priced. Maybe a little bit too complex for total newbies.
Verdict: If your budget allows it, I'd say go for it!
