The 15 cm schwere Feldhaubitze 18 was the standard German divisional level artillery piece used throughout the Second World War. Roughly five thousand four hundred were produced form 1933 to 1945.
This is my first review, so I shall keep it short and just give you a brief description of the boxes. There are a total of 40 resin pieces. The kit does come with a small instruction sheet and identifies what each box is called and describes what colour paint to use. The resin plastic is quite soft and easy to cut and does not show many resin bubbles.
Each box is nicely molded and needs minimal clean up. Close inspection of the wicker mats and baskets seem to be ok in 1/35 scale but does lack that woven look.
As with most resin kits a saw is useful to cut of the molding tabs.
List of all 40 parts
3 Shell Crates
6 Cartridge Case Boxes
6 Propellant Charge Boxes
2 Igniter Wood Boxes
2 Igniter Steel Boxes
6 Wicker Shell Baskets
9 Propellant Containers
6 Wicker Ground Mats.
I think this set is a must if you are planning a 15cm s.Fh. 18. diorama, whether it is in firing position or being towed by the Sd.Kfz 7.
Highs: Good solid resin boxes.Lots of diorama possibilities.Lows: Lack of detail on some parts.Verdict: With the lack of any other manufacturer making this type of ammo cases I guess there the only one option.
