by: Engin Kayral [ GRAYWOLF ]

Inspired by Tamiya’s latest M551 Sheridan, Vladimir sculpted a series of U.S. Tank Crew at rest figures that will make great Vietnam War scenes with many US tanks and armored vehicles.

B6-35308 US Tank Crew includes three 1/35 scale, resin cast tanker figures at a field briefing.
Review

  • Inside standard cardboard box labeled with a photo of painted figures; bodies, heads, arms and PE parts for mics are inserted into small zip-lock bags and all lumped into a larger one. I appreciate this packing style of the company, as I have never seen a damage or problem due to packing on their figures till now.

  • Casting is very good with no mistakes or excess. All I noticed was a few vertical seamlines on the arms that can be easily cleaned by a quick sanding.

  • Body and other parts of each figure are marked as A,B and C for easy assembly. They are posed to perform a field briefing. Figure-A has a standing pose with crossed legs with his left arm on his hip and right arm put on the vehicle. Figure-B leans forward with his hands on knees and looking on the ground. He has a cigarette on right hand. Figure-C kneels on his right knee with left arm on his thigh and carries a stick on right hand to draw on the ground.

  • All figures wear 3rd pattern tropical combat uniform of Jacket, Trousers and 2nd pattern leather-canvas combined Jungle boots. Body postures, proportions ,cloth folds, wrinkles and details on uniforms are well sculpted and look realistic. Figure-A carries a M1911A1 Colt in M3 Shoulder holster on left armpit.

  • Heads are given as seperate parts that makes change between figures and replacement possible. Facial details, moustache, hair and facial expressions are nicely sculpted. Figure-A and B heads are cast with CVC-Combat Vehicle Crewmen helmet. Another tanker helmet with interior details is supplied for Figure-C with bare head. Details on the helmet like studs retaining the liner, Exterior draw string on the right side to snug up the earphone cup for a better fit, Send/Receive switch box on the left and earphones are well defined.

  • Left arm of Figure-A and left hand of Figure-C are cast on the body parts. Other arms are seperate, sculpted with upfolded sleeves and show nice touchs like wrist watchs and bracelet .

  • PE fret - 4 boom microphone of 2 different types for CVC Helmet

    Conclusion

Another nice additon to static posed Vietnam War tanker figures of BRAVO-6. Good poses, clean and crisp details and flawless cast. Great figures to display with all United States tanks and armored vehicles..

    Highly Recommended
