Introduction

The Hungarian company HADmodels is mostly known for its decals, but from time to time they release resin accessories and sets modeled by Gábor Juhász.

One of their projects is the Ural-375D conversion for Trumpeter’s Ural-4320 kit in 1/35th scale – all hand-made. This small resin set is an addition to it, covering the wheel hubs as these are not the same for the two trucks.

the set

The set arrives in a small zip lock bag attached to a piece of cardboard displaying the company’s logo, the product’s name as well as a photo of the original wheel hubs. There are no instructions but in this case I do not really see the need for one.

We receive 6 hubs for the wheels plus one for the spare, all of them are cast in grey resin. The attachment point could be smaller but luckily most of it will be covered by the tire anyway. The details of the hubs are superb with the nuts and bolts being very sharply molded and well placed.

The spare wheel is missing the inner circle of bolts just like the real one as well as the central part of the hub. Some of the holes need a bit of drilling though.

The overall quality is very good as said before, although a few tiny imperfections are present on some of the parts.

Conclusions

This is a well made and cheap set from HADmodels for those who wish to convert their Trumpeter Ural-4320 to an Ural 375D and do not want to scratchbuild the hubs.
SUMMARY
Highs: Does what is should do, cheap. Does not involve too much effort.
Lows: A few minor casting imperfections. Attachment points could be smaller.
Verdict: Recommended - but only if you want to convert your Trumpeter Ural-4320 to an Ural-375.
