Decalcomaniacs are at it again. With the end of summer nearing, Georg has been busy, this time with a set of decals for Canadian armour.
It’s been quite a while since Decalcomaniacs released anything new (December, 2010, I think). There have been a couple of projects percolating and here’s the first: DM-050 Canadian AFV’s of World War 2

This is somewhat of a misnomer asit is only focused on tanks and armoured cars. The sheet covers all of the armored formations in the Canadian Army (both armoured divisions, the 3 armoured brigades and the recce regiments attached to the 3 infantry divisions and the corps/army troops).

The sheet has army, corps, division and brigade markings, as well as arm-of-service flashes. Georg has also included a selection of tactical markings and census numbers for both tanks (T) and armored cars (F). The census numbers are random and do depict a particular vehicle. It will give the casual modeler something to use and the more dedicated something work with. As usual, they will sell for US$10 for the first week (7 days) and then go up to US$12 after that.

Over the fall, Georg hopes to make some major updates to the website. This was scheduled for this summer, but a whole slew of personal stuff got in the way. So keep an eye on the site for the changes. Also, if you have some completed work that you'd like to share, drop Georg a line and email the pictures over with a short blurb on what kit(s) you used and which decals you utilized. Georg hopes to hear from you.

Georg is a real asset to the hobby because he brings out sometimes obscure decals that would otherwise not be available to modelers. Bravo!
