I like vehicles based on the 38T chassis and this looks great. Was it a real vehicle?

I know some people will moan it's a "paper panzer" but I like them! Certainly something different to all the Pz III and IVs. I'm hoping Trumpeter will continue with this theme as I'd like to see the Waffentraeger with the Pak 88 on the modified Pz 38 (t) chassis!

Finally! Been looking forward to this ever since I saw the New Connection kit years ago. This vehicle, while it did not see production (to my knowledge), is a variant of the Ardelt 38(D) chassis that did see production, had an 88mm PAK 43 mounted on it, and fought in the final Berlin battles. Trumpeter just released the PAK 43, so it will be easy enough for them to mount it on a later release. Immediately after the war the Russians field tested the Ardelt with PAK 43 and it's still in a museum as I write.
