Dragon Models have just announced another Axis figure release in 1/35th scale. Oh dear, not another, I hear some of you groan. This, though, is a little on the unusual side...
The New, 1/35th scale Figure release is:

6674 - German "Blue Division" Spanish Volunteers Eastern Front 1942-43

Consisting of four figures in a mixture of cold-weather gear with weapons and equipment provided as 'Gen 2 Gear' . There does seem to be a fairly good level of animation in the set and certainly there's been some thought put into the mixture of uniform styles. A welcome addition is the Russian sheepskin coat...

As to the subject, 'La División Azul' (250. Infanterie-Division) is, personally speaking, one of the more repulsive subjects that could be chosen. Consisting of the 'Hard-Liners' of Franco's 'Falange' and led by some of the dictatorship's more ideologically-sound professional officers. Their contribution on the Eastern front was significant (in numbers) militarily it was of little significance.

Saying that, the set should be highly versatile in any Winter Setting and while there are other sets of this type, it should be pretty useful.

Really guys. Just ignore him. Why is everyon egetting upset? He is a troll. His first post is to come on and insult everyone so he gets responses. Ignore it and this almost year-old post will fall off the radar again. It turned into a pissing contest then and doesn't need to again.

On that note....here is my review of the set from last year for anyone that would like to see it that didn't get a chance to before. Dragon German “Blue Division” Spanish Volunteers, Eastern Front 1942-43 Thanks, Randy PS. I didn't mean for this to look like a shameless plug for my review!! LOL

Nice figures! If you don't like to buy them... fine but who cares?... Simply don't buy them... There were times when a modeller would have done anything in order to get such a fine figure set... Nowadays everybody rails against too many Germans, too many blah and too many blah blah...

I've actually got it in my stash, one figure is sitting in my WIP pile hahaha. Their poses are pretty good, I would've liked them in summer clothes though. I'm not tired of German figures yet They're about %90 of my figures.

Joey, i might have escaped your notice, but I haven't actually been on Armorama for around 6 months. When this News Report was written, I was in charge of News, and inevitably, with full editorial powers. If I chose o make an editorial comment, that, was my right, by the same token, it was everyone else's right to disagree with my viewpoint. That is what editors do. My personal view is that as a figure set it was well-executed. The imagination that went into it, somewhat lacking. Where, geting personal for a moment, does YOUR right to insult me come from?

Joey calling Jim R that is not on, you are entitled to an opinion but that is not acceptable. What I cannot figure out is why a news thread from 2 years ago is banging again!
