Dragon Models have just announced an interesting batch of releases at this year's Nuremberg Toy Fair.
The Announcements are:

6258 - Panzejäger I

6684 - German RSO/03 Artillery Tractor

6685 - M3 Medium Tank 'Lee'

6686 - Sd.Kfz 10 with 3.7cm Pak 35/36

6687 - Pz.Kpw. II Ausf A (Poland 1939)

6688 - Stug IIII Ausf 'E'

6689 - JagdPanzer IV L/70 (A)

Of all, the releases, the most attractive are undoubtedly the Sd.Kfz 10 and the M3. In the case of the latter, the mess made by Academy of THEIR release, warrants a completely new-tooling. Hopefully though, the research is up to the release and we'll see the model that Dragon Models are MORE than capable of producing...

In addition, at the bottom of the page, i've published ACTUAL (not CAD) images of

6676 - Sd.Kfz 10/5 with 2cm Flak 38

Thanks Al, I really wish they'd publicize their 72nd scale releases though - sometimes they're even more interesting than their 1/35th scale ones... Marketing 'R Us? Well, perhaps not....

the M3 Lee is a welcome one, the others make me sleepy...

Well, since there WEREN'T any NEW Models announced in 1/72nd (apart from a couple of re-packagings of existing kits in the Orange Box series) what do you want me to do exactly? Invent them? [/quote] No, you missed the point. Armorama has a nasty habit of omitting the scale of whatever they're announcing/showcasing/highlighting. Just add the scale of whatever kit there is in the announcement. It's not difficult.

Not very exciting, well for me anyway. I have to say though, that Academy got and are still getting a pasting for there Lee and Grant, and that's a pity. It's worth remembering that they did supply new spures of the correct M3 boggies be it all after the event. I see the Grant is also available with a set of MB or MiniArt Crew now too. I built their Grant, not perfrect but streeks ahead of the old Tamiya kit and it turned out to be one of the most enjoyable builds I've done. Even partial interiors are welcome so whilst I accept they didin't get their Release correct I do feel it's a bit unfair to keep bashing them for what is a pertty good kit if given a bit of TLC. Al

the lee sure looks nice. they have the lower half already from their mkii sherman (if memory serves). by the by: why does it says on the panzer iv l/70 "not available in japan"?

I can't wait for the LEE!!! Hopefully a Grant will follow and hopefully they will be better than the Academy disappointments. And hopefully the formations M3A1 hull will fit, I'm trying to make a model of a 4th Armored M3A1 that my Dad took pictures of on parade in NYC right before he went into the Army.

The Lee looks very nice and I would definately consider buying when I one day will build 1:35 scale again. I only wish DML would begin making kits in 1:48 scale as well. In some ways the 1:48 market is like the 1:35 market many years ago. Besides being a great scale to model in, it also makes products announcements more interesting because the number of available models is still so small. Every new release is interesting.

Tamiya is indeed stretching, reboxing old Italeri stuff instructions with Dragon never gave me any problems. more german utility vehicles please, and some French stuff no need for Japonese tanks, they never had a decent fight more soviet self propelled guns, new BMP, good T80,90 ect enough Shermans and churchills allready greetz
