RESICAST is one of those companies whose catalogue is a real gold mine. It is one of the few companies who truly specialize in conversion sets, complete kits and figures in 1/35th scale for the Allied modeller....
Tamiya's Universal Carrier has been one of those invaluable kits which just invites improvement or conversion. With the new sets from Resicast some of these variants are now easier to do. Also in the new releases are some superb looking figures along with a complete kit of a highly-attractive subject - Montgomery's Caravan...

The New Resicast Releases...

35128 - Universal Carrier Update set This set corrects some deficiecies in the old Tamiya kit including new storage boxes, radios, smoke mortar and a redisgned front mantlet.

35129 - 3" Mortar Carrier Again, a new front mantlet is included along with the storage racks for the mortar rounds. The rear compartment is also singled out for attention with a new back plate and the mounts for the mortar included. The three-inch mortar is of course included for mounting on the backplate.

35130 - Universal Carrier and Vickers MG A virtual rebuild of the Universal carrier here - new transmission cover, front mantlet, new tracks, the MG mounting and a load of .303 ammo boxes complete this kit.

35136 - Wasp Mark IIc The flame-thrower version is presented here with the REAR fuel tank, front-mounted flame thrower and all the necessary fittings. (DECEMBER RELEASE)

35172 - Monty's Caravan (Complete Kit) As i have no knowledge of what chassis this conversion was done on, I will leave it to others to fill in the gaps..

35173 - Wasp Mark 1 (December Release) This differs from the IIc in that the vehicle had two (internal) fuel tanks and will be a less complex conversion than the previous 'Wasp'

New Figure Releases

Three new U.S. Paratroop figures are the new releases. They are:

35585 - U.S. Para (standing) with M1 Carbine

35586 - U.S. Para (seated) with Thomson SMG

35587 - U.S. Para (seated/drinking) with Garand Rifle
