The Polish Publishing House, Model Centrum Progres, have just announced their latest title.
With the imminent arrival of a whole series of New-Tooled Valentines in 1/35th scale from MiniArt Ltd., now's the time to start thinking about some Up-to-date Reference material.

Due to be published in June 2010, within the Publisher's PhotoHistory Series of books, is:

PhotoHistory #2 - British Infantry Tank Mk. III Valentine (Part 1) The book is written by Dick Taylor. Amongst the contents are: 114 Contemporary photos, 12 full-color plates and 4 pages of 1/35th scale plans.

My thanks to Wojciech J. Gawrych for the update!

Hi Ken, If you think the postage is bad how about Amazon. They have Camouflage & Markings of Canadian Armored Vehicles in World War Two / Part 2 quoted at £64.23 Part 1 is shown as £62.40 -not bad for a book that has a RRP of 17 euro I've been told by several UK book shops that the cost of stocking the Model Centrum Progres books is simply not worth the effort. Just to be clear - that is NOT Amazon - rather, these are booksellers who work THROUGH Amazon. Amazon links to these booksellers. Availablitity, isn't in my experience any kind of problem. Aviation Book Centre in the U.K. along with outlets such as Adalbertus in Poland (VERY reasonable postage) carry Model Centrum's books. Also IBG's On-Line Store have them as well. Sorry, but the impression being given in this thread is a little bit confusing... Simply put, as a rule of thumb, with Polish books I order from Poland, there is a network of excellent on-line retailers. The momemt they arrive in other countries the price is considerably higher. Swings and Roundabouts?

Thanks Kevin (and Jim) I shall certainly look out for this book in the above-mentioned UK outlets.

This seems to be a promising release. And there are some more useful titles in their list. I might have a go at a few of theses once this one is out. Cheers! Stefan

Hi folks, Apologies for going a bit off topic I am sure Dick's book will be greatly welcomed by many, and I'll track down a reasonably priced copy when it's released. Re the postage and price well I would expect to pay a lttle more for the book if buying it from the UK, but I do think this is a bit OTT Surface Mail All the World +30% (minimum € 6.50) Air Mail Europe +50% (minimum € 9.00) North America & Africa +60% (minimum € 11.00) Asia & S. America +80% (minimum € 12.00) Australia & NZ +120% (minimum € 18.00) All orders sent via Registered Post If these were hardbacks then weight would certainly be an issue, but as Jim points out it pays to shop around. The price shown on Amazon for the 2 Canadian books, regardless of suppiler, is a real hoot. There must be a fairley limited print run on these books becasue both the Sherman VC Firefly and M4A2 Part 1 are shown as OOP, well either that or there are a lot of Shermanholics around A part 1 indicates a Part 2 so that's good news as well. Squadron in the U.S.A. has recently restocked a number of these books. I just ordered the two books on Canadian vehicles, the prices including shipping and taxes are good. Cheers jjumbo
